Haskell, and I use my diverse background and more than 20 years of legal experience to give each client the thoughtful, strategic and knowledgeable representation they deserve.

In addition to my training and legal experience in family law, I’m also a single father who has personally gone through the heartache and frustration of a divorce and a child custody battle. Therefore, I understand the struggles that my clients face, and I do everything within my power to help them negotiate amicable and practical solutions for their family law cases.

History and Accomplishments

I first entered the field of law in 2003 after receiving my Juris Doctor degree from the University of Michigan Law School — one of the top law schools in the nation. Following that, I was fortunate to serve in a prestigious federal clerkship under the Honorable Dee Drell in the United States District Court for the Western District of Louisiana from 2003 to 2004. During that time, I took and passed both the California and Louisiana bar exams, both of which are well known for their immense difficulty and lowest passage rates in the country.

I spent numerous years in both of these states practicing class-action defense and employment litigation defense, joining well-known firms and successfully representing high-profile corporate clients.

Ultimately, my passion for helping families and my dedication as a father led me to return to Michigan in 2010, where I focus primarily on family law. My business education and extensive experience in business law means that I am well suited to represent business owners, corporate professionals and others going through complex, high-asset divorces.
